I am a guitar player. I started young, when ever I would visit a cousin of mine, I would go for the old beat up guitar he had in his toy box. I had an uncle who noticed. He bought my first guitar, and started me with lessons. The lessons lasted until baseball season started.(About six weeks) That was the end of my formal training. From there, it was an on and off relationship with the guitar, that I taught myself to play. My first book was Ed Sales Learn to Play Guitar in Seven Days. I bought it out of a comic book add. I learned G, C and D. As I grew up, I started "writing" my own songs. As a teenager I dreamt of being a rock and roll star. I "wrote" songs, and with my first guitar would record using an old reel to reel recorder, and a coffee can for drums. My friends were to be my band mates. I drew album covers, and took the fantasy as far as I could. As the years went by, I meet a few people who helped me with my playing. I eventually got my first band together in the early 90's. We mostly played at our band house, which was anywhere we hadn't been evicted from. We even had a couple of live gigs. Our last gig was just after the last eviction, and everyone wound up going their separate ways. That was in the summer of 1995. I have played the guitar for my own enjoyment since. I recently bought a computer and a music studio program, which brings me to the rest of my band. Mystercee is my computer. The songs I have now, have been composed using the computer and software. I am learning to be an engineer with the program. I have some instruments, microphone, and samples included with the music studio program. I hope you enjoy the results of my learning experience, as I continue to chase my dreams.

Lyrics
"Crystal Mountain" By John Surbaugh (c) 2008 All Rights Reserved Intro verse 1 There is a place, I have heard, Seldom is it seen, but on wings of a bird, I journey far, I feel it near, Clouds haze my eyes, I still see it clear, Intro verse 2 My path has taken, twists and turns, Tears I have shed, lessons that I have learned, My feet grow weary, the road goes on, I keep the step, still I march a long, Intro verse 3 Days have come, when I stumble and fall, I get back up, I hear a voice call, Son you are weary, but keep your stride, You are not alone, I am by your side, Verse 1 I'm taken back, by those around Who say they know, but yet have not found They walk their way, knowing not the face they hide, With blinders on, still they try to confide Chorus.... I'm gonna climb up, Crystal Mountain, I'm gonna sit on, Crystal Mountain, Verse 2 They see the signs, but understanding lack, This way and that, they mark their path, In darkness they shout to find a light, Some say left, others point to the right, Repeat Chorus.... Verse 3 Lost in a maze, many do follow, Paths that bare, a heart that's hollow, The voice they hear, lays them low, The fear inside, consumes thier soul, Repeat Chorus.... Verse 4 The time has come, for those who seek, Strength finds weakness, strong become meek, The land where the lions, lay among lambs, The time is ripe, to find this land, Repeat Chorus....
