My older work is mostly MIDI based, 99% composed with a mouse by clicking notes onto a digital score. My newer work is more mixed-media, including both fairly standard MIDI work as well as recorded sections from acoustic and electric instruments.

Story behind the song
There's this cafe (Lucky's Cafe) around Highland Park in Dallas, TX that I'd been secretly wanting crowd sounds from for some time. Finally got that opportunity after the spring term ended this year. Sound effects were recorded from a laptop and not altered much. I got some pretty outlandish sounds that I probably never would have noticed otherwise, from the cash register to metal trays. So, if you're in the Highland Park area, swing by Lucky's if you want the best breakfast in town. And yes, I feature in there along with my father as we bumble about trying to set up the laptop to get the best sound quality. I left that in because I thought it was pretty funny.
