Do It Yourself Alternative
Since receiving his first guitar at age 12 (a 1965 Silvertone) Ryan has been writing and playing music for his personal enjoyment for more than 30 years. After years of putting his music on assorted cassettes (and a 8 year layoff to take care of career and kids) Ryan put Pro Tools on an old computer in the back bedroom and began writing, playing and recording music again. It's a life-long hobby for him. Ryan plays guitar, bass and keyboards and uses a drum machine for the beats.

Story behind the song
This song is actually 30 years old. I wrote it in 1978 with my friend Edwin Nicholson when we were in Middle School in Oklahoma City. Edwin was into Kiss at the time and this was our attempt to write a Paul Stanley song. We know what happened to Kiss. I wonder what happened to Edwin?
Lyrics
On and Off It’s 12 o’ clock and I just got paid My mind is blown and it’s getting late I’ve got to call you cause I know you’re great I can’t wait, I can’t wait You turn me on and off On and off Lights are flashing, how long will it last? Till I get some help really fast The future’s great, but it won’t last Let’s put yesterday in the trash You turn me on and off On and off I’ll go up and down Left and right Tell me where to go In my mind I’m out of time Please let me know It’s 12 o’ clock and I just got paid My mind is blown and it’s getting late I’ve got to call you cause I know you’re great I can’t wait, I can’t wait You turn me on and off On and off
