Hello World!, I say WELCOME. I'm a 57 years old classic rock fan and musician. For the most part I only do covers of classic rock and folk songs but am known from slipping in an occasional ballad or instrumental here and there too.
Story behind the song
Capitol leaked "Ordinary World" to a radio station in Florida in the autumn of 1992. The single proved so popular that Capitol had to push the US release date up, ultimately releasing it in December. In the UK, the original January release date stood. The song can be credited as introducing Duran Duran to a new generation of fans.
As with many songs in my playlist here, there is more than the music - the lyrics make a reference in my life (don't they always for everybody?).
