Story behind the song

hey to all at the ntrack contest submissions and acceptance department.  
here is a change of pace entry.  i wrote it 7 years ago but just recorded it for the first time this weekend.
when most people would refer to 'reliving their college days', i would imagine it would involve large containers and amounts of certain inebriating fluids, ultimate frisbee, turning the speakers so they face out the window toward the quad, and playing silly yet disturbing pranks on the dean. not so for me.  my college experience involved this kind of music---writing, playing, analyzing, transcribing, transposing, the works.
there are a couple more originals like these in the pipeline that won't be submitted, but will be posted.
