I think of myself still stuck in the 60's.
I've been a guitar player since 1967 and have been in a handful of bands that never became successful and figure I've lost around $50,000. I now just do only my own music. I play all the instruments and write the songs.

Story behind the song
I was feeling a bit rough health wise,probably from all the booze. This song seems prophetic now,since I've had numerous health issues since writing this song. So maybe you should listen to your body.
