Story behind the song
Does reincarnation exist? Some people believe this is what happens to you after you deincarnate. Essentally, it doesn't matter, if you believe it, whether or not it is true-- like so many things we choose to believe without evidence, the important thing is that it helps to shape your life, so it's as if it were real even if it isn't. If it is true, wouldn't it be great to have extra lifetimes to expand on love?
Lyrics
Last time around You were a French lady fair-- Wore fine silk dresses And flowers in your hair, And I pulled the strings Put us both in the court of the King You were Blue, and I was mean-- Both lost our head, it seems! A very long while You were the Queen of the Nile I sat, your puppet slave, In awe of your smile! And you pulled the strings-- You were my everything! But it takes so long to see, There's just the two of us, You and me. I set the stage and you write the scene-- Put you in check, you capture my queen! I roll the dice and you win or lose; I fill around Whatever you choose! A foggy day, A castle by the sea, A famly squire-- You directed me. A long time ago, By a fire in a cave, I was the oracle-- I turned to you and said, "None can come, When all is done, None can come if none can stay!"
