Story behind the song
The Elvis recording of "Viva Las Vegas" is a great song, but I felt it was time for a new theme song for the city I have personally known for four decades.
And what makes a city great is the people. So that is what I chose to write about in the song.
Not many people know Vegas like I do, since I have spent over 25 of the last 40 years living inside Las Vegas.
Not until 2008 was I able to express in music my true feelings about this city that I love.
This song is the only song I know of that can truthfully say that over one million voices can be heard on this recording. It features massive groups of different voices all joining in with the lyrics ..."Las Vegas, Las Vegas USA!"
This song can be heard on 35,000 TouchTunes digital jukebxes and will also be on Rowe and Rock-Ola.
