An introspective, philosophical song about the violence and pain in the world today, and how we need to look to the past and keep an open mind to not make the same mistakes in the present. Beat courtesy of True Scribe Beats.

Biggest Musical Influences - Mike Shinoda, Tiger JK (of Drunken Tiger), Tablo (of Epik High)
I started rapping in 2003 years ago, mainly because I really loved hip-hop and wanted to try creating my own musical works. I quickly found out that I had a knack for it, and I also discovered that I loved making music and sharing it with the world. I originally began rapping with my crew, Nerds While AZN (if you haven't already, you should check our group site out @ soundclick.com/nerdswhileazn) but since then I've mostly done solo work and have finished three mixtapes on my own. I hope you'll enjoy my music, find something that you think sounds tight, and come away with a few favorites. Thanks.
Lyrics
Blummer - Like A River
searchin' high and low for these better days
moving forever, tryin' to find a way through the maze
a saga that flows on and on
time is like a river, the current is strong
a day begins, the sun rises anew
cascades on a cloudy canvas so blue
birds flying their way, with the birth of the day
serenity abounds, children coming out to play
parents going to work, driving kids to school
mesmerized in their lives, chasin' the cool
tranquility make us all forget, they say
the sacrifices that enabled us to live this way
if you stop for a moment, take time to see
the wandering souls in the breeze so free
you might shudder from the sensation, turn astray
but take the time to pay respect to those that passed away
moving souls, soon to be reborn
floating through the streams of life, faraway and forlorn
before they depart, take some time to listen well
to the stories of life that they have to tell
(chorus)
searchin' high and low for these better days
moving forever, tryin' to find a way through the maze
life moves over months and years
death, rebirth, love, sweat and tears
when one life ends then another begins
as a baby first cries someone meets their end
a saga that flows on and on
time is like a river, the current is strong
life in memory, these memories of life
guide the souls onward, through pain and strife
a world full of destruction and constant madness
anger, decay, decadence and sadness
soldiers waging battles all across the globe
but a problem is within, racists and homophobes
hate crimes, bodies being hung from trees
tragedies, dreams snuffed out and then seized
Columbine, Virginia Tech, shot in their tracks
the Middle East, infidels falling down in stacks
suicidal bombings, the name of the lord
used to justify blood-splattered guns and swords
so much death and despair that we barely notice
consumed by petty cares, there's conflict around us
the souls of the departed speak, listen well
to the morals of life that they have to tell
(chorus)
chaos grips the land, can any understand
and visualize peace, a resolution, take command
and expand connections, the wishes for unity
instead of political unrest, broken communities
but life is an orb with cracks on its sides
imperfected players, merely here for the ride
innocence can't deceive us, thou must take action
past mistakes can't be the future's distraction
we need traction, to maneuver these slopes
and re-arrange visions from the shards of broken hopes
all i need is a mic to voice the voice of the world
and hear the spirits' words, their requests unheard
we shall survive, don't fear the end of your song
this is only the beginning 'cause life goes on
remember the fallen, we should listen well
to the fragments of life that they have to tell
(chorus)
