A tribute to the Miles Davis classic 'Go Ahead John,' more in production style than anything.

Project between friends looking to experiment with Free Jazz, Noise Rock, Punk, Funk, No-Fi, Experimental, Ambient, and Psychedelic. All the recordings are lo-fi single mic setups in Rye's basement--production is minimal, and based on the impulses of improv. Check out http://myspace.com/neonmagus for full versions of a few songs.

Story behind the song
This is a sort of tribute to the song "Go Ahead John" on Miles Davis' 1974 album, Big Fun, featuring John McLaughlin with a really gated fuzz--produced by Teo Macero. Started recording bass track onto a laptop with this one. Better for on beat type music. Yes, only me an Rye again. Tried to go for that stop-go style fuzzy detriorating guitar. Using a Subdecay Noise Box on guitar. MacBook Pro and Garage Band for production. Rye Mathews - Drums Will Ryan - Guitar, Bass, Production
