"Soulful. Alive. Joyous. Grievous. Real, true, music is what I want to make."
"Ever wonder what it would have been like to listen to a gifted singer/songwriter from Saskatchewan in a small, intimate hall before she became Joni Mitchell? Don't fret the missed opportunity. There's no need to turn back the clock. Check out Allison Crowe..." Robert Reid, The Record (Canada) "Allison Crowe has a voice to fall in love with. She is from Vancouver Island in Canada, descended from Scottish, Irish and Manx stock. She's exactly the sort of artist who can make serious headway on her own label and that's just what she's doing." Record of the Day (UK) "Once famously described as possessing a style akin to 'Elton John meets Edith Piaf', the Canadian singer-songwriter Allison Crowe is renowned for her ability to blend control and melodrama." MOJO (UK) "With the soul of Janis Joplin and the tenderness of fellow Canuck Sarah McLachlan, Crowe rocks with her own unique brand of roots charm." Lyrics
Northern Lights Words & Music by Allison Crowe The Northern Lights took me off guard knocked me over and lifted me up and through the shadow of a meteor I saw your face And yes I stood on the other side of the world but I took the Northern Lights home to you I fall into habits that I've carried So many years and when I fall I seem to pick them up And I don't know when or where But this isn't me, this visionary That can barely see And yes I stood on the other side of the world but I took the Northern lights home to you So much water floods my face I am choking on words that I finally have the courage to say At the wrong time in the wrong place And there's no one here to hear me I just scream into an empty room And yes I stood on the other side of the world but I took the Northern Lights home to you Everything falls and I will be the last one standing yes I will hold fast because everything here begins again Yes I stood on the other side of the world and took the Northern Lights home to you and took the Northern Lights home to you

Amazing music Allison. Enjoyed reading your bio, and there's no doubt you're loving what you do. "Northern Lights" has a great Canadiana sound to it. Passionately sung vocals, with super pleasant sounding harmonies to go along with a lead that just draws the listener in.
