I had someone from this US company make the melody of this one...It's got the longest title of any of the songs/lyrics/poems I've written!

She and I met in high school We fell in love the first time our eyes met For five years we were together We never said one hurtful word We were our small town’s king and queen As happy as we could be But one day she told me she had to leave It wouldn’t take more than a week She needed some time to be alone But she promised she’d be coming home Chorus 1: Weeks turned to months, now it’s been two years Not a word or a letter to say goodbye I’ve been praying, crying a river of tears Wondering, not understanding why If she meant to leave me right from the start Then why did she wait so long to break my heart?
