Story behind the song
This track is about people who feed off you. The people who take your ideas, concepts, lingo, connections but never return t he favor or even give you credit for it. They can be called "The Hungry" because of their greed and ability to take and take. But, we are also "The Hungry" because we continue to show our passionate desire to succeed through our music regardless of the takes who have no originality or mind of their own.
Head Of Command have proven time and time again to be leaders and once more it has happened. Head Of Command was in a position to open doors to several other local artists for musical opportunities. Some of the artists in particular fed off of H.O.C.'s ideas and operations, eventually using them for their own benefit. These people never gave credit to the originators and claimed it as their own. This song expresses our awareness of these "takers" and our drive to continue to innovate.
