Ain't it a nuisance! The ad said 'Four star, top of the bill' - just false promises ... truth is, this song is a protest against the politicians who are slowly (and slyly) changing our democracies into police states ...

He also played all instruments and vocals on all songs, except on the album (produced by the African American producer Forrest Thomas) and on the Dutch song 'Doe Maar Multicultureel'. In these songs, Doc Jazz collaborated with prominent professionals from the Dutch jazz and fusion scene. His music can be found in a wide variety of styles ranging from piano ballads to funky music with a groove and with a taste of Doc Jazz's characteristic rock guitar solos (and on 'Front Door Key' the mesmerizing saxophone solos of Susanne Alt) - in three languages:. A Palestinian short shepherd's flute called the is also often featured in the songs. One last note: don't assume the music of Doc Jazz is only political! If you scroll through the vast collection of songs, you will find many songs about other subjects of love, and of life!

Lyrics
Well you can say what u wanna say And u can call me ur enemy But I just say what I wanna say And ur supposed to just let me be I'm a defender of the poor Against the whims of aristocracy I'm a defender of the weak Against the claws of conspiracy But when the clock says dinner time ... There is a fly in the soup Is this what we've waited for? What about the promises on the premiss of being four star top of the bill There is a fly in my soup that's not what I voted for All those false promises While the force is Poised, sharp and ready to kill Well you can do what you wanna do And you can talk of democracy So when I do what I wanna do Don't vilify my philosophy I'm a protector of the trees The trees that give us the air to breathe I'm a protector of the seas The seas that feed us with all we need Well you can go where you wanna go But you make us stand in line for security So when we go where we wanna go You' re undermining our privacy I'm not impressed by your theories A poor excuse for your tiranny I'm not impressed by your policies They boil down to a massive felony
