Lyrics
Well I got to have a monkey on my back everyday Can’t believe lately the prices I pay Simple satisfaction of a topping’ it off Is my only reward for the price it costs? A days worth of travel Night’s worth of rest Strong cup of coffee Keep me at my best Don’t believe the papers This isn’t going to last Ain't no addiction Just a full tank of gas….. Someone needs to tell me why I chose this road No one seems to know just where their going’ Look in to my mirror I can see the past A million more like me looking fo gas Everybody buying The bigger and the best Something got to break If we don’t rest. Don’t believe your neighbors Cause they want to pass Ain’t no addiction Just a full tank of gas Ain’t no addiction…...

Love it! Besides Mark, Bo, Doug, and Gordon. I hear a little J.J.

Infectious rhythm and sensitive relationship between the players, builds a great sound. Can't stop playing it.

Lovin this one, has a jazzy rock feel to it. Your vocals and style really remind me alot of one of my fav blues guys....J.J. Cale. Very smart song, like the lyrics and guitars....5 stars all the way. Looking forward to making it back to hear something more of your soon. Take care and keep on keepin on! ~strummergurl~

Very timely song. Hope someone in Congress takes a listen. Reminds me of the great protest songs of the 60s
