It's called Maximum Honky Tonk, and no one plays it like Bob Wire. Country, blues, rockabilly, folk, and some good ol' rock and roll. Honest, smart and funny.
Funniest blog on the web? Judge for yourself at NewWest.net/BobWire. You won't regret it. I swear. This is Butt-twitchin' country music for adults with a brain and a sense of humor! Bob Wire writes catchy, original songs with a twisted perspective that puts him way out in the left field of Nashvegas. Bob sez: Hank Jr. is the disease, and Hank Sr. is the cure.

Story behind the song
I just wrote it for fun. I came up with the groove, a tried and true blues progression, and wrote the lyrics in a series of hotel rooms.
Lyrics
Down in Alabama, just outside of Mobile There’s a shotgun shack on the edge of a soybean field When the moon gets full in the summertime Folks come around with some homemade wine The ground starts shaking like an out-of-tune automobile The wine starts flowing and the people start to moan and twitch Snakes and gators come crawling up out of the ditch If it ain’t too cloudy and the stars are bright The shack starts glowing with a ghostly light And out the door flies the Alabama Hoodoo Witch Chorus The Alabama Hoodoo Witch is a party machine She’s a wang dang doodle boogie woogie disco queen With some magic words and a wave of her hand Everybody’s dancing to a five-piece band She celebrates every day like it’s Halloween Where she came from, nobody seems to know Some folks say she was raised by Marie Leveau If you ever take a sip of her special brew You’d best be wearing your dancing shoes You’ll be cuttin’ a rug and spinning like a dynamo Chorus The Alabama Hoodoo Witch is a party machine She’s a wang dang doodle boogie woogie disco queen With some magic words and a wave of her hand Everybody’s dancing to a five-piece band She celebrates every day like it’s Halloween
