Hailing from Cleveland Ohio, "The Morning After" are a 5-piece rock band that feature five contrasting and talented musicians that make music thats catchy and unique to today's popular music scene. Despite being a band for less than two years, "The Morning After" have managed to accomplish a lot and have put together an impressive resume. The band started in the spring of 2006 and hit the ground running. By that October, they had written, recorded and released their first album, "On The Rocks", to much critical acclaim and local success. By this time, they had also won the "Best New Band Award" by Cleveland Magazine and headlined the "Best of Cleveland" gala at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Over the next year, the group toured throughout the Northeast Ohio area, including a stop at the University of Dayton for the head spot at the 2006 VH1 Save The Music festival. 2008 promises to be an exciting time for the band. The band has spent the first few months working on songs for their second album and will start their touring schedule back up in May, starting with the opening day premiere of the indie film, "The Rapture", which features several of the band's songs from "On The Rocks". The Morning After's music is also currently being negotiated to be used in several other movies, commercials and internet marketing campaigns. From punk to the delta blues, from straight forward rock to listful pop and sing-along acoustic, The Morning After avoids any one label for the music they make. They are progressive in thier variety of music styles and avenues they undertake in a way most bands aren't while maintaining a signature classic sound. It's a refreshing blend of powerful, soulful vocals, explosive guitar work and sharp infectious rhythm that has a little something for every music fan.
