Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Hello V. G. my friend!
I think the last verse of this song was my favorite part. There is so much wisdom in our years, and how I wish I could go back and spend more time with loved ones! Your songs always take me back to my past and make me think. Great story! I bet you two were all black when you were done shoveling that coal too.
Just got back from Spring break.......took the kids to Disney and had a wonderful family trip! So good being all together. I took 318 pictures!!! I'm a nut with my camera. Hope you had a blessed Easter.
Sincerly,
Rosie
Very original...You have your own lovely style and do not copy anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
