A mellow look into something we cannot confirm. This is a rock styled song experimenting with textures.

A open ended journey into sound and structure. Ranging from melodic and slow to fast and progressive projects - The Local Group has no specific album projects,
The Local Group. This is a project I've been wanting to do for a few years, this project is free from genres - the music is still melodic and guitar based with a focus on expansion into other areas. I'm not committing to any specific genre with this.

Story behind the song
The first song to enter under The Local Group, this is a mellow piece dealing with potenial numerous dytopia societies in the universe and the fluxing (shifts between hope and despair) that occurs within the societies over extremely long periods of time. As I believe a true dystopia is something that can only come to exist after many thousands or even millions of years of persistant habitation in an organized 'society'. This is an outlook on life from within one of those dystopic societies. I never said this stuff was going to be 'normal'.
Lyrics
From across the void of time Comes a message for us from the east A message we can't read In the confusion of the war and fog that we have made A universe so cold And now we're drifting through the emptiness of space Watching time crawl slow As the temperature drops further every day There's no one left to hold
