Lyrics
Living Steel
Feel those frozen tracks start singin’
Midnight's sweepin’ down the rail
See her one great eye a'shinin’,
Hear her doom's day trumpet wail
She comes writhin’ like a dragon.
Smell her belchin’ diesel flame?
Feel this trestle buck and tremble?
Midnight Lady rides again.
Living Steel, --------------------------------------- {Chorus
Surging through the night.
Living Steel,
Where I'm holding tight.
If she ever jumps her track,
This Lady won't be back--
Living Steel.
Taste the stench of her wild whirlwind,
Hear the thunder of her storm.
High above, the moon's eye shinin’--
Home in bed, my love lies warm.
I come to ride the highest beam,
O're dark waters far below.
I come to feel her earthquake rumble,
Come to hear her whistle blow.
Living Steel, --------------------------------------- {Chorus
Surging through the night.
Living Steel,
Where I'm holding tight.
If she ever jumps her track,
This Lady won't be back--
Living Steel.
Three men died upon this trestle,
Scorched by sparks from Midnight's wheels.
Here I'm almost touchin’ heaven,
And I know how hell's flame feels.

Hi John, So great to see you posting again. Listened to all of your songs and must say you've done a great job. "Living Steel" is very unique especially. I really liked the way you did this one. This has a distinct sound, almost feels like an Indian chant.
