HEROES COME IN DIFFERENT SIZES by Tommy Jones (BMI) & Lloyd Kyrk (BMI) copyright 2008 [VERSE 1] She doesn't know how many times she's tried to leave this man It's over, she told him but he won't understand. Now, she's got a 9 millimeter gun pointin' at her, Out of no where comes runnin' her seven year old daughter. [VERSE 2] Then he fires the gun and she takes a bullet in the chest, But her little girl tryin' to shield her takes the rest. Now, she's holdin' her daughter, runs her fingers through her hair, Prayin' to God as her baby lies in intensive care. [CHORUS] Heroes come in different sizes, Just a little girl can have strength no one recognizes. Life is full of good and bad and surprises, And heroes come in different sizes. [VERSE 3] That girl was shot in the jaw and chin and lost an eye, Don't understand how a man can want to take a child's life.
