Indie sounding rock with guitars and keyboard performing from their back room, with a 13 year old guitarist and 15 year old bass player.
Mid-life crisis causes ex punk and bad guitarist to buy musical instruments and record music with semi reluctant teenage sons. Aim - to give lads experience of writing/recording so they can go off and form their own band without the embarrassment of having to play with their dad. Oh well. Story behind the song
A mate at work wrote some lyrics which I changed and ended up with this. It is about desperately trying to find someone but when you're desperate you'll settle for anything.
Lyrics
I did not know your name, I didn’t know your past And in retrospect it was obvious that it was never going to last But when you flashed that smile at me, I felt something inside You caught me in your trap, you see, and you took me for a ride Now I feel so low I wish I never tried And how am I gonna fill This emptiness inside?
