RIKY ROK hails from BERGEN COUNTY, NJ better known as "DIRTY JERZY" His living conditions weren’t as good as they could have been those days. Being as special and unique as he was he yearned for more, he was hungry for stardom. In 5th grade he got a copy of FUNKMASTER FLEXS "MUSIC GENERATOR" and he began to break down making beats. Eventually, the beats weren’t coming fast enough for him to record on, so his friend taught him the music production program Fruity Loops and soon whenever the restless RIKY ROK was not asleep, he was perfecting his craft. He discovered how his bars worked and figured out how to put bass lines and melodies together. Two years later he started writing his own songs and from that point forward, RIKYROK kept a notebook with him, and became immersed in a brand new world. RIKY ROK much like many hungry hood kids spent most of his money on hoe's and drug's which landed him back at square one, “Broke and hungry”. This experience taught RIKY ROK one important lesson, “save the money you make because it won’t be there forever”... RIKY ROK has many unique talents; he produces, writes, raps and arranges his own music. He is a one stop music creation shop from start to finish. He is constantly coming up with songs and concepts because he wants to sound different. “Nobody made it by sounding like everyone else.” For most artists, achieving platinum status by selling over one million units is a huge accomplishment, but RIKY ROK understands that "wealth is the term, and rich is around the corner from the curb.” So, RIKY ROK's mission is to have a diamond selling debut album by moving ten million units. With great sales comes great responsibility, and it is a freedom that he willingly accepts. He accepts the responsibility as an idol, he understands that kids look up to rappers and emulate everything they do. That’s why he wants to relay positive messages, but in a way that makes it easy to digest. At the age of 22, RIKY ROK is already well on his way.
