I wrote this song on my last day in Japan on the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka. At first I just wanted to look cool, you know the whole composing on a high speed train thing (comPOSING) But then somehow looking outside really gave me inspiration

Lyrics
It's hard to imagine, the cold winter's morning
Now that the suns come out to shine
Behind a clear blue sky, behind the towering buildings
Behind the train window, theres a place that's mine
I leave this city, taking all the memories with me
But I can't say there weren't no regrets
Guitar in my bag and a pen in my hand
Melodies flowing, even faster than this train
What seemed like forever, swept by with the moment
Though it seemed like today would never come
Tomorrow comes to takes me away
Now I just wish I had another day
The first stop's quiet, a little old country town
It's houses and people, just barely holding on
They look exhausted, but still manage to break a smile
And I can't help but shed a tear
There's another chance, or so I used to think
But reality appears all too soon
I'm staring at the pictures, but they won't bring me back
Back to the start, all over again
What seemed like forever, swept by with the moment
Though it seemed like today would never come
Tomorrow comes to takes me away
Now I just wish I had another day
Eternity, is there really such a thing?
With every second ticking by
This high speed train comes to take me away
Now I just wish I had another day
It's not hard to imagine, the cold winter's morning
Now that the sun's gone to hide
Behind the fallin' rain, behind the cloudy grey sky
Behind an airplanes window, there's a place thats, mine...
