How much hurt in this world
Are we willing to turn a blind eye to?
We’re all in this together on this earth
It’s time to step up and do what we can do
Mother’s look into their baby’s eyes
Wondering where to find them food
The sick the elderly are dying
Denied treatment….can’t pay the bill
I can’t provide any money
I only have these words to say….
And I mean them with all my heart….So
Let me be the first to tell you
If no one said they love you today
Let me be the first
If no one has tried to help you to find your way
Let me stand up alone against it all
If that’s what it takes
And if in turn I stumble and fall
I hope another will stand in my place
Break
Alone we can’t save the world
But side by side we can stand together and say
We’re not going to determine what is right
By our color or how much we can pay……So
Let me be the first to tell you
