Story behind the song

Long ago Mark Wheatley edited a comic book series titled BLOOD OF DRACULA.  One issue included a flexi disk - a flexible record stapled into the comic book.  And three songs about Dracula were included.  There was a fourth song titled CHANGE that was not included because it was too long to fit on a disk small enough to fit into a comic book. The pressing plant had not taken that into consideration when they gave the time limits for the songs.  So 1st NIGHT was composed and recorded in just a few days to replace the longer song.
