Has a military style intro and outro. But is a country song with a good 2/4 beat.
I am an independant artist that hires players as needed. When performing I call the band Silverspur
Story behind the song
This is a story about four Canadian Mounties who were shot and killed by a gunman in Alberta on March 3rd, 2005. Also tells how our law enforcement agencies are no longer properly protected. It's a really a tribute to all police personnel both in Canada and the U.S.
Lyrics
Four young men stepped out to do a risky job that day
A job that they didn't know would be their last play
Tony, Leo, Brock and Peter fearless all the way
Lured into a death trap by the devil to betray
Ch: The Fallen Four stood up for us
But our country let 'em down
How can you maintain the right
With no help from the crown
They all believed the law was good
But an outlaw did prevail
A terrorist right here at home
That should have been in jail
They started out at depot with dreams to fulfill
They all came together in that town with they're skill
But dreams can be shattered when a plan goes astray
Life is but a tender thread more Mounties thrown away
Ch:
Tony, Leo, Brock and Peter fearless all the way
Lured in to a death trap by the devil to betray
But now they'll ride forever like ghost riders in the sky
Gone but not forgotten let's not let their memory die
