Story behind the song
America was facing another four years of lies and deception. The hunt for the number 1 bad guy had taken a sharp turn from Afghanistan to busting up Iraq. With no clear understanding relating to the local tribes and religious based culture, GWB declared mission accomplished with no plan to protect the local people after we destroyed their government. Cronyism was running rampant in our very own government where Non-Bid contracts were handed out to our fearless leaders real good friends. Of course this is where it all backfired on our brothers and sisters right here in good old USA's New Orleans. Lovin'Spoonful singer Joe Butler and Even Steven Levee decided it was time to say something. They created and produced Save America as a wake up call before an election. I brought in vocalist Wrecia Ford and guitarist Rod Kohn just to add some flavor to the track . America reacted like Tommy the pin ball wizard (deaf dumb and blind) while our brothers and sisters are fighting and dying and many of our favorite freedoms have been taken away while gas prices rise to the top of the graph.. You will note Oil Companies have reported outstanding profits during this time in American History.. Is the Bush family still in the oil business?
