I was in a dream scape wonderland and all the shapes turned real Not a single being in the cosmic field could feel the way I feel It felt familiar yet so different I saw layers of arenas staging arguments I had to think about what to say to my anticipating peers It felt right to share with them the answer to any fears But I just heard slander and cruelty I felt a strange sense of loyalty -Was I the last surviving witness -Or did I leave the scene too soon -I just left there feeling so gutless -Yet I could feel her near my bedroom I entered a hallway with a flight of stairs I walked up and I saw her there She was walking the other way I had to think of some words to say I kept talking to seek her attention She seemed to ignore each word I mentioned 'I saw you dissappear' into a green-blue backdrop I slowly crumbled as I went to the top -'Do I interrogate you sometimes?' -To talk so frequently is surely a crime -Was it the powers of confinement -Or my imminent retirement...from the dream I was afraid that we wouldn't meet again But she turned up at school with all the young ladies and men We smiled and talked off the top of our heads And all the hostility and pain was dead
