Music of the Light, her first solo project, was released in January, 2001. The title track received a Unity Award from UCMVA as Praise and Worship Song of the Year 2001. She has performed in countless churches on the east coast, as well as in conferences throughout the US, Canada, Spain, Italy, Australia, Germany and Brazil. Her latest project is Christmas All Year Through, a collection of Advent and Christmas songs. Shes the President of CAM, the Catholic Association of Music, founded by John Michael Talbot providing guidance for Catholic musicians in public ministry. Lynn also produces an annual concert in NY at Carnegie Hall, Merry Christmas New York City to celebrate the real reason for the season. Story behind the song
I Loved this song the minute I heard it. Steve Givens sent it to me in response to my looking for songs to use on Journey to Forgiveness. This was very late in the production and with limited time to learn it, I asked my producer, Ron Zabrocki, if he would sing the lead on it since he was singing another song and a lot of the backing vocals on the CD as well. It's such a powerful message about looking at our own doubts, fears, concerns and comparing them to the suffering and sacrifice of jesus... Considering the nails that hung him from the cross to die for us and our sins. Very powerful message in the these amazing lyrics. Thanks to Steve for suggesting it and giving permission to us to record it...before he did!!! xo
Lyrics
CONSIDER THE NAILS Words and music: Steve Givens and Phil Cooper If you think your life is worth nothing If you feel unimportant and small if you wonder if anyone loves you Then remember the one who gave all Consider the nails, consider the thorns See the water and blood flow free from the wound in his side Consider the jeers, consider the pain Consider all that it takes to give in to the way that he died Consider the nails If you doubt there's a God up in heaven Or a father who would give up his son If you're mired in guilt and confusion Remember what's already been done He stretched out his arms And accepted the point of the pain He bore the weight of the wood Like a Lamb and a King in the rain.
