A tribute to Merle's 'Swinging Doors' which I thought was the coolest song ever written when I was a kid.

Story behind the song
I used to listen to "Swinging Doors" over and over again on my brother's 8-track when I was a kid. I not not only wanted to live it, I almost do.
Lyrics
You'll never know the heartache That you put me through All the lonely nights I've laid awake Just thinking about you You couldn't count the tears that fell Or the times I thought I'd die Living in this emptiness And never knowing why Refrain I'll never know the reasons why You chose to do me wrong But thanks to you I've finally found A place where I belong Old merle is on the jukebox So there's hurtin' on my mind And it's double whiskeys chasing beer Straight-up 'til closing time I never had a reason To believe you'd be untrue I only know that in my heart There was only you Regrets are all that now remain And I'll miss you 'til I die I only wish I had the chance To say a last good-bye {Refrain} Sometimes I wonder how you are Are things good or going bad And do you share my heartache Do you cry or are you sad I was a fool to fall for you But a bigger fool I'd be To think that just because you're gone My heart could now be free {Refrain} Yes, old merle is on the jukebox So there's hurtin' on my mind And it's double whiskeys chasing beer Straight-up 'til closing time
