Artist picture
Blues guitarist, pianist and keyboard synth player, and composer of neo-classical music. Lead guitarist of Blues-Rock Bands.
I have been a musician - performer and composer - for close to 50 years, and I've been playing guitar for about 42 of those years. I have become mostly a player of Blues as of late and recently was invited to be the lead guitarist of a revived Blues-Rock 60's band. This picture is of me, and yes, Les Paul! And that's my Les Paul Deluxe, which I play along with my Clapton signature stratocaster.

Story behind the song
This is an instrumental version of the beautiful "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. I played it at the bedside of my wife's 106 year old grandmother the day before she passed away. This was to sound as if it were played on Acoustic guitar, but it was actually played on electric guitar, with an acoustic modeler pedal used to make it sound acoustic.
Lyrics
None used in this instrumental version. I did also record a version with me singing the lyrics, but I am not a great singer, and I think this instrumental-only version is better musically and emotionally. I wanted to say goodbye and "I Love You" to Grandma M as she was passing in the next life, and I hope and pray she was able to hear and feel what I was trying to express to her in her last moments in this plane of existence.
