One of my daughters asked me to compose a piece for pan pipes to use as a background for a tape she planned to record and I wrote her a fairly slow piece. However I don't think she ever used it although I retained it and included it in my uploaded pieces. I have now rearranged it for woodwind instruments and extended it at a faster pace. The type of composition known as a Passacaglia was originally an Italian or Spanish dance but latterly was used as a classical instrumental piece based on a ground continuing throughout and usually but not necessarily in the bass. I consider my rearrangement to be now more in keeping with the light dance style.
