But I Do © 2008 Alan D. David, BMI All Rights Reserved (v1) I wish I didn’t love you But I do I wish it was a lie But it’s true My heart is blind Can’t read my mind I wish I didn’t love you but I do (v2) I should not believe you But I do So many times you’ve torn My heart in two I accept your lies And your alibis I wish I didn’t love you But I do Chorus My heart won’t listen to my head It prefers your lies instead I wish I didn’t love you but I do (v3) I wish I didn’t give in But I do My heart takes charge when it Comes to you So here I stay For another day I Wish I didn’t love you but I do Repeat Chorus
