Daniel Mandel is a singer songwriter from Oakland California. Daniel has been bringing his new performance called Brave Open Love to stages in cities throughout the West. Daniel’s unique blend of story telling and, emotional honesty in song writing, are a beautifully powerful combination. Daniel is returning to perform at the 2007 Boulder International Fringe Festival and is currently focusing on building a local and regional presence in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Story behind the song
This song was motivated by a road trip to meet my partners family for the first time. What made this even stranger is that they had a family ritual of visiting the family owned grave site outside of a small town. We were driving on unusually high mountain roads and the tensions were in the air on several levels at once.
