Story behind the song

There was a time when the Holy Spirit would come like a soft Summer's breeze, caressing the faces of those present. 

Now service - and the people 'performing' it - are become like 1 Cor 13:1

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal."

Or even, as in the OT, where the Prophet is watching the Chaldeans dance and he taunts them to jump higher and scream and slash themselves.
