Dear Joyce, I love this song, I've heard it before when I visited your page but for some reason I didn't comment, probably got a pc freeze and never got back here. I want to say this is a chilling song, beautifully inspired to convey your compassionate thoughts and expression, and to share the need for peace, there's a yearning in your voice and you sing so wonderfully because your soul can be heard, this is what keeps us hooked on music, songs like this. The melody coming out of the guitar is haunting and your voice is very moving and special. I sometimes don't get a chance to sign in here for a while but when I hear music like this I'm so thankful to be a part of soundclick and to know you, a true artist and a dear friend that I wish I could meet in person. Love from Maria xx

You really know how to paint a picture with your words Joyce, this is a very sad picture, but a way too honest picture that more people need to visualize that don't get it. I see you wrote that back in 1980.....war is timeless, just like a good song, I can't even remember now from back then, what war was goin on, you know, there's just been TOO MANY! Haunting song, but really awesomely played on guitar and your voice is so fitting and wonderful as usual. Good production, thanks for sharing your songs here Joyce. I'm still hitting your original songs.... basement tapes when I come to your page, so now I'm off for another. Take care and be well Joyce ~strummergurl~

Hello Joyce. That's an awesome song. Very well produced, written and your vocals are great. Love the lyrics and your guitar playing. 5 stars all around. This song is fitting for any conflict. I can picture eveyone singing this back in the late 60's Peace Bill
