One of the biggest myths about our nation's capital, Washington DC, is that it doesn't have as much musical talent as that found in bigger cities such as Atlanta, New York, Miami or Chicago. Contarary to popular belief, it is widely believed by those that have had a chance to visit the Baltimore-Washington area or the "DMV" (DC, MARYLAND, VIRGINIA) as they call it is that the area has a lot of undiscovered talent; one artist in particular that is a true symbol of one of the best in the surrounding areas of the "Middle East" is BOOGEY. Known for his playful delivery, coherent lyrics and attention to detail. BOOGEY's music is an extension of his personality as well as his area and it is guaranteed not to disappoint. BOOGEY, was born Nicholas Royal in Frederick, MD summer of '83. Growing up BOOGEY has experienced the life of many cultures living in many places from the "Windy City" Chicago to overseas in Germany, as an army brat BOOGEY learned at a early age to adapt to any environment and network with his peers regardless of age using his god given gift, the ability to connect with others on an uncanny personal level regardless of ones race, sex or personal belief. BOOGEY is very confident in his abilities and proudly conveys it in his words, distinct sound and swagger. As a middle child of 5, BOOGEY often found himself coming up with different ways to get attention and most of the time it was thru his musical talent. BOOGEY has always had what some refer to as an "ear" for music and developed an eclectic taste as a child always moving to the beat of his own drum, a distinctive aspect of his personality, which at times lead him to alot of trouble in his teenage years. As an early teen, some unforseen circumstances led BOOGEY to an alternative school named RICA in Rockville, MD where he met JON WILSON one of his peers who would later have an unforseen impact on BOOGEY's life. BOOGEY had always seen JON writing in a journal at school. One day when an altercation broke out between BOOGEY and another student, JON approached BOOGEY and handed him a pen with instructions to simply "vent" on paper and without any hesitation, BOOGEY's thoughts spilled onto this paper effortlessly with such ease, easily expressing his feelings in the form of articulate rhyme schemes with significant grace. BOOGEY has always been known to be a strong advocate for his area but was never able to find the appropriate channel to express it to the public until today...so DC, Maryland, Virginia, and the rest of the Nation get ready because if one things for certain BOOGEY is.
