Story behind the song
The song is a result of seeing how my times in the Bible that God reversed, or promise to reverse, something going on in the world. The song is to encourage the belief that whatever is wrong in our lives can be reversed by inviting God to get involved.
Lyrics
(intro) He’s the God of reversals, the God of reversals. (v.1) He’s the God of healing, the God of strength the God of love, the God of peace The God of blessings & abundance of prosperity, and increase. He’s the God of eternity. He always was, and always will be. There’s something else that He’s the God of. There’s something else that’s His specialty. (c.1) He’s the God of reversals, the God of reversals. (v.2) David and his men went off to battle What they found when they returned Was their families taken captive and their city looted and burned. David asked God, “Shall we pursue? Can we prevail?” God said, “Yes, you can. & you’ll recover all without fail.” (c.2) He’s the God of reversals, the God of reversals. (v.3) The high priest of Zechariah well he ministered in sin-stained clothes. So an angel removed those filthy garments and replaced them with royal robes. He’s the God of reversals.
