Enjoy my songs. The first song "We Are Ourselves" is from 1972 with a band called UMBRA. I have many more songs from that band and others that I played with up on my other website: http://www.mp3.com.au/dermondmurray. The next three songs were recorded live at a fundraising event in 1988. I don't know how to categorize the genre of these songs, so I hope pop is close enough. The next four jazz/blues songs were written by myself and my good guitar playing buddy "Bent Jensen", and they were recorded in a jam session in my basement back in the early 80's. The last eight songs were recorded live on the veranda of the Otter Bay Marina on Pender Island, BC. My good piano playing buddy "Ed Weber" and I wrote these very loosely structured songs for jamming over the years, and this particular session happened to get recorded in the summer of 2001. They originally had only number names like "DermEd 01" etc, for they were just turn-around patterns for jamming on. I feel they have a complete song character, so I renamed them for uploading to this site. I hope to have more songs uploaded in the near future. Enjoy!
