Story behind the song

Mid day yesterday I decided I wanted To do a chant type beat. Something other than the ordinary... I started early that day looking for any chant songs i could find my friend Cass offered a few but only one of them sounded remotely like what I had Invisioned... after about 3 or 4 hours of searching I finally found a song of some monks bellowing (I'm here like what the hell is this, anyway  I had no more time to waste). To Bad I was dead tired and passed out. Skipping ahead when i got up something like 1am (bad sleeping habbits I know) I decided to start. The voice accapella was so slow & Boring I really didn't know what to expect, Little did I know how this Track Would come together.

So I started chopping up the voice sample (simple enough), nothing for me really... I knew that i would have to play a bassline for this one to support this track, so I selected one of my favorite basses out of sampletank 2.5. Ok here's the "WTF" part, I have the vocal bellowing accapella chops I just did playing and randomly i put my hands on the keys and and start playing a bassline for it flawlessly, keep in mind I can't play by ear(hahaha). Anyhow at this point I'm wondering what the hell but i just hit the record button and go with it. A Four pattern bassline played one take no Errors? no editing? what the hell is going on? So the bassline you hear is the same one i did in 15 seconds no edititng. After that I listened to it for 2 1/2 hours straight just vibing to the way the bass and vocals fit like It was ment to be, I was thinkin about life and crazy shyt I don't blaze but If ever there was a time for me to start it would have been yesterday night hahahaha (I know crazy shyt.... I really walked up and down the lab for 2+ hours straight possessed by this track hahaha).


After realizing that for some reason this track wasn't getting played out to me I decided to put down the drums(Bread n' Butter). After that it was a wrap, The only thing left was the Final Arrangement and FX and a little mixing....

Never before have I had a track fall together like this one did. It made no sense... I really love everything about this damn beat, "my all time favorite easy" and I've made some beautiful shyt in the past... No exclusive on this one..... atleast not for now....I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do. ~1~
