Story behind the song
i tried to make each instrument reflect sounds and senses you would here if you were in teh picture. i tried to do it in a completly synthetic way though, i didnt want to do the cliche sample of the ocea nand such. the opening noises of my song represent teh waves, and the wind. the choir part represented the overall color of the picture. the panning synth was representing birds, seagulls etc. the middle section of my song was made to represent the focus of the viewer transfering from the atmospher of the pic over to focus on the large rocks or the apostles. these are the gentle giants. so the sounds used in this middle section were meant to be very "hard", solid and stoic, yet still be very gentle and melodic. then i pulled the viewers attention back from the focus of the apostles to greater view of the picture once again as the beginning fo the track was. almost like camera zoom in camera zoom out. the percusion line orginally was dnb line, but i felt the idm feel was more appropriate. i also did the choir line using sampletank and one of teh free ohh choir sample packs that came with it. I hope that brings better perspective as to how my song reflected the iamge. i know mine was very much different style wise as almost everyone elses.
