Looking for a song about sh*biscuits and/or golden chickens? Hasenyager combines comedy and music in order to realize your dreams.
Hasenyager is an Americanized version of Haschenjager, which is German for 'rabbit hunter.' I am that hunter, or huntress, if you will, and I take my profession very seriously. Which means that, actually, I don't hunt rabbits. I do, however, make half-assed music with Audacity, and upload it onto SoundClick.

Story behind the song
In the Ramayana, the character Vasishtha made a statement that struck me as the countriest thing ever: "But though I must dream or die to do it-- I've been to Fair Ayodhya and I'll go back there again." I thought it would be amusing if someone made a folk/bhangra song around this quote. So I did it, using some imagery from the Ramayana. Well, I don't know if it would really qualify as bhangra. Probably not. Which is why I didn't upload it under World > Traditional Indian. Just pretend that the guitar is a sitar, and that the lowered-pitch recorders are some exotic... woodwind... instrument... thing. What's somewhat pathetic is that I don't even know if I'm pronouncing "Ayodhya" correctly.
Lyrics
Today men stand on a ruined pier, hung with colored rags On the far south shore and dream of a bridge A hundred leagues long Across the dancing sea, where the ocean breaks in What Rama did was unheard of--Ravana was unconquerable Well, I've been to Fair Ayodhya, and I'll go back there even If I have to dream or die to do it, lords I swear I'll see Ayodhya again Sparkling souls were comin' up from Earth, along the distant sky-paths And drawing near were flights of songbirds Soaring o'er the oceans of space And the innocent heavenly deer were leaping, bright as gods As long as the sea beats against the land I'll yearn of home Well, I've been to Fair Ayodhya, and I'll go back there even If I have to dream or die to do it, lords I swear I'll see Ayodhya again Lakshmana slipped into the river, Sita was swallowed up by the earth And even now Rama walks by her side To a place that the animals can't build a bridge to Across the dancing sea, where the ocean breaks in As long as it beats against the land, lords know I'll yearn for home Well, I've been to Fair Ayodhya, and I'll go back there even If I have to dream or die to do it, lords I swear I'll see Ayodhya again
