Welcome to my Soundclick. Most of the songs here are kinda old-ish, but I am going to resurrect this site and start adding new content. I listen to a lot of music - some electronic, and some not - but my primary area of focus in my work is electronic music... specifically, trance. I've been producing electronic music since the summer of 2005, but only recently have I seriously started to pursue being a musician as a career. Story behind the song

This is the first piece of real trance I've ever written, despite efforts to complete a trance anthem for the last few years. The title kind of has a meaning to me... it was really kind of difficult to make this track, and in a sense, it was kind of a courageous thing for me to do. I would never have put this much effort into a song had I not been about to quit producing (and I was... I was getting super discouraged with my work). 

This song has a lot of "firsts" for me... this is the first song I've done the following:

- Used a sidechain on the bass
- Used all my own synth patches (I modified the gate enough to call it mine, I think)
- Used a perc loop
- Used swing on the step sequencer
- Put as much effort into the mastering as I did into the synthwork
- Made more than two or three different transitional elements

So this is kind of a monumental release for me.
