Daylight District is an all original, inventive four piece band from Florida. Our sound is a mixture of Hip Hop and Indie rock, some people might call it "Alternative Hip Hop." We blend composition and improvisation in our songs both live and recorded.

Story behind the song
When our band started in 2004, what we were doing was unlike ay other music around. Mixing Indie rock and hip hop elements wasn't an easy marriage. Odd time signatures in hip hop sounded just that to most people, odd! Our former bands were more straight forward. This song talks about these trials and tribulations that we eventually grew to overcome.
