Concetenation remix remixed
Comment Share
This song of Meshuggah for me is the one of their coolest. Concetenation remix off the RareTrax CD. Programmed the drum part again, on an overlay track. Fun :)!
This thing started in fall 2005, KARS on the groove. After leaving Nomen (polyrythmic metal band) as a bass player i picked up a 7-string Ibanez and found myself trying to create the music i really want to hear. So there i was, digging into the guitar and spending tooo many hours in my little musicroom busting my ass. It is work in progress, still improving song and sound quality. This thing got inside my head and looks like it's there to stay.... At first this was my 'metal page' but now I put on any kind of groove stuff i produce. As a project, working with other people (f.i. singer) might bring about interesting stuff, so if your mind become itchy, leave me a post. mike patton, if you're reading this.... :) New song will be posted regularly so return if u liked the last ones.

Story behind the song
This song of Meshuggah for me is the one of their coolest. It's on the RareTrax CD. It's so grrrrrrroovy... the rhythm part always puzzled me, sounding so 'easy' yet intricate and COOL. So at last, i loaded in Cubase and tried some programming some drum parts. Just for fun and analyzing what they did. I ended up doing most of the drum parts, exactly doing what these guys did. Worked A OK. So here it is, my drum part mixed over the original track, and a new ending, remixing the mid-section: the guitar break, turning it into a new groove that i think fits the song well. Let me know what you think! I had a blast doing this anywayz :). kars
