Story behind the song
Note: The biblical references in this song are keyed to the "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures," a corrupted version of the bible used and distributed by the "Jehovah's Witnesses"/Watchtower Society, as many of the verses one would ordinarily refer to as proof of Christ’s deity have been altered in the “Newest” World Translation. See. e.g., John 1:1 (“the Word was God” (kjv), the Word was “a god” (nwt)).
Inspired by and directed toward the false teachings of the "Jehovah's Witnesses" and other religious groups who twist the scriptures to their own destruction, even denying the Lord that bought them as it says in 2 Peter 2:1 and 2 Peter 3:15-16.
Actually the first verse was written after my brother(a "Jehovah's Witness") had a house warming party with a bunch of folks from the local kingdom hall. A lady called herself witnessing to me and I bit my tounge when I shouldn't have. Never again. Well my mind was on this lady when I first started writng, then went on to my brother, then to just people in general. I guess everything happens for a reason. Say a prayer for my brother. The false doctrine makes him wrong and his pride won't let him admit it. What a bad combination.

That’s where Jesus said I and my Father are one. The scriptures tell you how to interpret that. Read Isaiah 9:6 where it says that a Child is born and a Son is given who’s name shall be called Mighty God and Eternal Father. You see that? “Eternal” as in not created. No other son would we call Mighty God or Eternal Father.
And then take Isaiah 43:11 where Jehovah unequivocally states there is no Savior besides Him, and compare that with 2nd Timothy 1:10, Luke 2:11, and Philippians 3:20 where it plainly says Jesus Christ is our Savior.
The bible is clear that Jesus is not an “angel” the way the watchtower teaches. Read Hebrews chapter 1. And the bible says people can celebrate holidays if that they want to. That’s at Romans 14:5 and 6. Also God has not cast off his people Israel to replace them with the Witnesses. Read Romans 11:1-5.
And clear this up too since we’re on the subject. The bible does not say that only 144,000 people are going to heaven. The 144,000 spoken of in Revelation is the remnant of Israel, 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each of 12 tribes to be sealed by God during the tribulation. See Revelation 7:4-8.
