Story behind the song
Marsonette and Ms. Jackie only had one practice session before recording this track at J1 studios in Memphis, TN. Marsonette and myself decided that this song ‘Life‘ should have a video to accompany the song’s message. So I took my camcorder to the studio with good intentions but the lighting wasn’t sufficient so I ended up discarding at least %85 of the footage. Hey, I guess that’s life. The one and half minutes of imperfect footage that made the cut was dumped into our video editing software. We left the studio Thursday night and the video was completed two days later. I think we all can relate to this song. Marsonette starting writing to this song one night after some some series life issues touched her in the wrong way. I suggested that she bring in Ms. Jackie to tell her story also. It was a struggle getting everybody to the studio and through the session but it was worth it.
