Big Feat is one of the two jams I've composed using 3rd-party sample loops. This piece was built from the Acid sample library and the initial rhythm was a beat loop played by Little Feat's late great drummer Richie Hayward...hence, Big Feat!

This one, like "Sour Mash", was built entirely from the Acid Loop Libraries. It began when I found the basic drum beat (a syncopated rhythm from Little Feat's drummer Richie Hayward) in one of the libraries. I just let it play and started "painting" loops, sounds and sound effects onto the screen. I heard this again today for the first time in the 21st century. This was one I had totally forgotten about, but I got a real kick listening to it today. It's pretty bizarre, but I think it turned out pretty cool. Why "Big Feat"? Because it all began with a Little Feat drum loop.
This was hatched somewhen in the mid-90s.
