MORE OF YOU is a new and evolving group. It all started with John Davidson passionately pursuing God and being gifted with songs of worship from God. Although him and his wife own a construction company, his passion is music and living in the Psalms. The debut feaured Abbey Andrews a local extremely gifted and annointed singer/songwriter. We had almost 200 people at our opening concert. The power of God and His annointing was very strong. We believe that God has annointed this CD to bring peace and healing.

Story behind the song
In January of 2006 our pastor announced that he was going to do a series on 40 days of presence. I had heard of 40 days of purpose by Rick Warner but never a series on 40 days of presence. As my mind drifted back to reality as I contemplated this unique thought Pastor Randy made a challenge. Would you give up the most important thing in your life for 40 days and instead spend that time spending time getting to know God more. At this time my heart was already turned toward God as six months earlier I had already cried out in desperation “Whatever it takes”. The ground of my heart was already fertile and prepared. As I thought about the most important thing in my life it didn’t take much thought more than a nana second to get a response back. The most important thing in my life was “Pistons basketball.” I was spending at least 6-8 hours a week watching my favorite sport. The Lord reminded me that what we give our time to (devotion to) is often what the most important thing is. So I decided to instead of watching pistons basketball for next 40 days, spend that time in spending time in getting to know God better. I gave Him that time. I began to pour over the psalms and “singing and making melody in my heart” Yes, I wanted More of God. The more I sought Him the hungrier and thirsty I became for Him. The more hungry and thirsty I became the more satisfied I also became. An amazing thing happened about three weeks of this series and my renewed pursuit of God, while sitting in devotion to God one day strumming on my guitar this simple song poured out from my heart. More of You, More of You was the desperate cry of my heart and longing for God had translated into a song. It was the first song I wrote. Thus began an incredible journey. I would begin writing one to two songs a month for next 18 months.
